The Thompson Rivers University Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is a branch of the nationwide organization. PCMA is the leading association for meeting and event professionals. They strive to deliver superior and innovative education and promote the value of professional convention management.

PCMA represents approximately 6,000 meeting industry leaders and professionals including planner professionals, suppliers, faculty and students. PCMA-TRU is proud to be organizing the Bridal Fair for the second year in a row. The majority of PCMA-TRU's members are Event and Convention Management students interested in gaining experience and knowledge in their chosen field. They appreciate any opportunity to use their knowledge and skills in event planning for community events such as the Bridal Fair. Members of PCMA-TRU fundraise year round in order to attend the annual PCMA Conference – which will be held in Las Vegas, NV this year.
